This initiative is a strategic effort to prepare students for careers in the new and increasing job opportunities in high growth, high demand and economically vital sectors of the American economy.

Fields like Geospatial Technology and Information Technology have jobs and solid career paths left untaken due to a lack of people qualified to fill them.  This high growth job training initiative helps students gain the skills they need to build successful careers in these and other growing industries.

There are competency-based performance models focused on core capabilities in the Geospatial and Information Technology career cluster.

The Geospatial Technology Competency Model can be used as a tool for performance management, career training and development.

Our programs focus on the following cross-functional competencies:
